Some people want a partner who leads.
They like initiative.
They like someone making plans.
They feel safe with a person who takes responsibility and acts decisively.
There is nothing automatically unhealthy about that preference.
The important question is where leadership ends and control begins.
Leadership still leaves another adult in the room
Healthy leadership includes responsibility.
It does not require obedience.
A person may take the lead on finances, travel, household planning or difficult decisions because that is the role the couple prefers.
